What I Do

With three different size sawmills, John’s Urban Timber saws logs into unique slabs and then uses a vacuum kiln to properly and thoroughly dry the wood. After materials are dried, they can be processed through shop services which include face jointing up to 30”, planing to 20”, wide-belt sanding up to 42” (with 51” capabilities coming soon), straight line ripping up to 2 1/8” thick, glue-ups, and finish coatings. A unique blend of new and old machinery along with imaginative thinking produces beautiful pieces.
