At John’s Urban Timber, everything happens here in our Whitmore Lake workshop—milling, vacuum kiln drying, flattening, planing, sanding, and precision jointing. We work with locally reclaimed or customer-supplied logs to create stable, beautiful slabs and project-ready lumber.

• Vacuum kiln drying – faster, even drying for thick slabs and matched sets.

• Custom prep – target thickness, book-matched pairs, square or live edge, ready for finish.

• Portable milling – we can mill your logs on-site when you can’t bring them to us.
